I want to issue a warning before writing this post. I’m going to be talking about myself A LOT in the next few paragraphs. Mostly, about how awesome I am, but also, how awesome my week was.
Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you start getting annoyed.
Today, I want to talk about the power of being a blogger, and what it’s made me realize about the profession.
You see, I’m involved in so much stuff. I have my hands in a ton of different projects, and even more to come. But, I want to focus in on just blogging for now in this post. I made a couple videos in the past 2 weeks on why blogging should be what everyone is getting involved with RIGHT NOW. I believe within the next year, I’ll play a part in creating the new movement for start-up entrepreneurs.
Number one, it’s really easy to do. It does require a little bit of start up cash, like all things, if you want to do it right. However, when comparing it to just about any other start up projects, it’s pennies on the dollar. You don’t even have to be a rocket scientist, just committed. I don’t care what it is you do for a living, the simplicity behind starting a blog is so much so that EVERYONE should be able to fit it into their lives.
Number two, it’s personally changed my life. I love network marketing I believe in it a lot. BUT, I knew I didn’t want to be one of those 50 year old network marketers that have been in the game for 20-30 years, preaching to people about retirement. Remember, if someone doesn’t have what you want, it’s hard to take advice from them. The income potential is just as high, if not higher with blogging, and is actually something I could see myself doing when I’m 80 and wearing a diaper.
I love waking up in the morning, checking my e-mail to see how many sales have hit my account, and then writing a weekly piece on exactly what is going on in my brain. I don’t have to feel-felt-found ANYONE, don’t have to stress about downlines, don’t even have to put fucking pants on.
Oh, and speaking of, don’t have to filter myself whatsoever. Remember, you’re on my site.
One of the things I get stressed out about with other professions, just piggy backing on the paragraph above, is that I don’t feel like I can ever really turn it off.
I became an entrepreneur because I was told that I could work my ass off for a few years, then disappear, and have the money continue to funnel in. Look around you at all the “entrepreneurs” you know. How many of them have to record trainings at night, take fake pictures of how happy they are, or look WAAAAAAY to married to their business? I’ve made jokes about some network marketers who I believe read Go Pro by Eric Worre to their kids as bed time stories… fuck that noise.
I want to be able to live my life. I want to be able to go on trips, where I don’t have to take pictures or videos to prove to the world I’m able to do it. I don’t want to have to keep my phone on during family time, or when we’re at a movie theater watching movies. I want to be able to truly live my life. THIS, is why I blog.
I answer to absolutely nobody.
I will always do network marketing, coaching, as well as investing in start-ups. I do this, because like Tony Robins says, money is a game that the rich try and master. I do this because I love the game. With that said, I don’t ever want to have the stress of a business dictating the hours in my life ever again.
You see, when professions like network marketing are secondary, the way Jim Rohn advised, it takes about 1000% of the stress out of it. You’re able then to just build it because you like it, and want an additional income stream.
Just as I wrap this up, I kind of want to circle back around to how the week has been. The projects are all coming together nicely. The Community is growing daily, and all the bloggers affiliated with it are having massive breakthroughs. It’s so rewarding to be able to be apart of this movement. Seeing people realize the same thing I did a few months ago, how you can truly live the “entrepreneur life” behind your laptop without answering to anyone, or anything.
If you’ve ever had the slightest interest when it comes to blogging, how it works, or even getting partnered up with our blogging community, feel free to set up a complimentary coaching call with me. We’ll just go over the benefits of blogging in more detail, and put out a game plan on how you can get started. 2016 can be the year you have that breakthrough you were truly looking for! 2016 can be the year you finally start living.
The blog train is leaving the station though. January was a big month for The Community, and February will be even crazier. My goal is to create a thousand 7 figure earners in the blogging profession when it’s all said and done, and even more 6 figure earners.
So, as we close, I wanted to thank you again for following the journey, and reading my post. Hoping you found it useful or worth reading in one way or another. Feel free to share this bad boy. Until next week, Belvin out!
